I'm a teacher with more than 25 years of experience, having taught children of all levels, ages and abilities, from early infants to the later stages of Primary, both as a class teacher and as a music specialist. I'm from Cork in Ireland. I studied music at Trinity College of Music and worked as a performer and teacher in and around London for many years. I was heavily involved in the nationwide Wider Opportunities in Music education initiative in the mid 2000s, both training and coordinating a team of instrumental teachers working in East London primary schools. In 2008, I swapped the hustle and bustle of London city life for quieter Navarran village life. For 12 years, I worked as a class teacher in infants and early primary in a state-run school with the MEC-British Council bilingual programme in Pamplona. I have also been contracted by Navarra´s Department of Education to provide teacher training for those working in bilingual and multilingual education, delivering various courses and workshops on Music and English language teaching, Project-based learning and teaching in Infants and Early Primary and the Creative Use of Storybooks in Infants. Outside of school, I enjoy the outdoors: walking, hiking, climbing and biking in the beautiful Navarra countryside with my two children. I also have a keen interest in arts 'n' crafts and music. I look forward to sharing my passion for learning and teaching with children at BSN, while supporting and collaborating with their class teachers in my new and exciting role.
